Kate: | I have tickets to the soccer game between Japan and England. Would you like to go with me? |
Rick: | Sounds great. I think it will be a very exciting game. I love watching soccer games. |
Kate: | Did you play soccer in high school? |
Rick: | No, I didn’t. I played rugby in high school, though. |
Kate: | Oh, I didn’t know that. |
Rick: | When I was a child, I saw South Africa win the final of the World Cup. I was very moved. So, I started playing rugby. |
Kate: | I see. |
Rick: | Anyway, I can’t wait to see the game. When and where shall we meet? |
Kate: | How about eleven o’clock at Ichigaya Station? The game starts at one. I’d like to have lunch somewhere before the game. |
Rick: | OK. I know a good Italian restaurant on the way to the stadium. |
Kate: | Sounds good. |
A: | What’s the matter with you? You look pale. |
B: | I have a stomachache. |
A: | Hi, Mary. How are you doing today? |
B: | Tom. What are you doing here? Didn’t you leave for Chicago yesterday? |
A: | What did you do last weekend? |
B: | Oh, I started reading a really good book. |
A: | Ms. Cate, Mr. Charles White is on the phone. |
B: | I’m a little busy right now. Could you have him call me back after three o’clock? |
