Tim: | Have you ever made something out of garbage, Ken? |
Ken: | Out of garbage? What do you mean? |
Tim: | I mean, school children in Japan often make things like a piggy bank from recycled materials. Did you make anything like that when you were little? |
Ken: | Oh, yes. I remember making a guitar from old boxes. It was fun. What about you, Tim? Did you make something when you were in elementary school? |
Tim: | I made postcards out of old paper. |
Ken: | That was a good idea. Did you use them? |
Tim: | Yes, I did. I sent one to my grandmother. |
Ken: | Do you think we can make something out of garbage to make our lives better now? |
Tim: | I think that’s a great idea. We can get the materials for free. What do you want to make? Do you have any ideas in mind? |
Ken: | Well, I want to make something that makes clean energy like the windmill in the story. |
Tim: | In that case, we had better study science and technology. |
Ken: | You are right. Let’s go to the library after school. |
