If I Had Been a Villager on Oshima Island I had not known the story of the Ertugrul before I read it in my English class. I was moved by this story very much. I think the villagers on Oshima Island were really great. They did everything they could do to help the Turkish survivors. For example, they took care of the injured survivors. Moreover, they gave their own food and clothes to the survivors even though they were poor. If I had been a villager there, and poor, I would not have given my food or clothes. But I would have taken good care of them, because I want to be a nurse in the future. I would like to thank the Turkish people, because they remembered the story of the Ertugrul for a long time and helped the Japanese people. I hope that the friendship between Japan and Turkey will last forever. |
