Hello, everyone. We have many Cultural World Heritage Sites and Natural World Heritage Sites in Japan. As we learned in this lesson, Yakushima is one of the Natural World Heritage Sites. Now I’m going to talk about three of Japan’s World Heritage Sites. The first one is the Atomic Bomb Dome in Hiroshima. It was registered as one of Japan’s Cultural World Heritage Sites in 1996. I visited it on our school trip. I think people all over the world should visit it. The second one is Himeji Castle in Hyogo. It was registered as one of Japan’s Cultural World Heritage Sites in 1993. I’ve never visited it, but I have seen it on TV many times. I think it is the most beautiful castle in Japan. The third one is Shiretoko in Hokkaido. It was registered as one of Japan’s Natural World Heritage Sites in 2005. I visited it with my family last year. I was very moved by the beautiful mountains and lakes there. Thank you. |
