Hello, class. I’d like to talk about some eco-friendly activities that my family is doing. I think my family is very eco-friendly, because my grandmother is always telling us “Mottainai!” or “What a waste!” Actually, she doesn’t like to waste anything. For example, when I’m taking a shower, she always says to me, “Don’t waste water!” My father doesn’t throw away plastic bottles, cans, and books. He recycles them. My mother is a teacher, and she doesn’t drive to work. She takes a bus. I bring a bag from home when I go shopping with my family. I refuse plastic bags at the store. As my grandmother says, I think it is very important for each of us to do something small. Thank you. |
