Shingo was born in Chiba /

He began to play wheelchair tennis /

As he was talented in sports, /

he soon became good at it. /

In his first year /

he joined a tour abroad. /
彼は海外遠征に参加しました
The sight of the breathtaking plays /

amazed him. /

Molier was overwhelming other players /

with his power and technique. /

That thought gave Shingo a clear objective /

to play wheelchair tennis. /

In 2004, /

Shingo won the doubles title /
慎吾はダブルスで優勝しました
at the Athens Paralympics. /
アテネ・パラリンピックで
However, /
しかし
Shingo wasn’t mentally strong enough /
慎吾は精神的に強くありませんでした
to win titles regularly. /
常に優勝できるほど
He was ranked around tenth /
彼は10位前後にランクづけされていました
in the two years /

following the Paralympics. /
