Cepheus is one of the Tremmy 48 constellation set by Claudius Ptolemy.
It has an area of 588 square degrees and 148 naked stars.
Modeled after the king of Ethiopia in ancient Greek folklore, he is considered the father of Andromeda and the husband of Cassiopeia.
Although it is located just east of Cassiopeia, it is difficult to find because there is no conspicuous star alignment.
